I have been a member of the Kansas Steering Committee since 2015. I started with Salina Public Schools as a building assistant and in the past 20+ years, worked my way up to my current position of Systems Analyst. I love working with computers and teaching people how to use various kinds of software. Excel is my passion! We have been a Skyward Student Management customer since 2012.

I have worked for Valley Center USD 262 since December 2001. I started out as the payroll clerk and have been the Director of Finance since 2007. I oversee the budget and manage the Accounts Payable and Payroll departments for the school district. I am also the district's Employee Benefits Administrator. USD 262 has been a Skyward Finance user since July 2014. I am the main Skyward training contact in our district for all Skyward questions.

I have worked at Shawnee Mission Public Schools (SMSD) USD 512 since 1994. For the first two years, I worked as a Junior Programmer but since then have been working as a Senior Programmer/Analyst. I was in charge of the student records in CIMS and then in Skyward when it was purchased in 2013. I was on the CIMS to Skyward implementation team when we started Skyward Future Scheduling in January 2014 and then the Skyward Student Management system in June 2014. We use a majority of the Skyward Student modules and most of the features within each of them such as Special Education, Graduation Requirements, RTI, Health, Discipline, Test Scores, Skylert, along with the other Skyward main features. With our 27,000+ students, 2000+ employees and Shawnee Mission’s programs, we are constantly striving to find the quickest, most efficient way for our users to use Skyward to maintain and provide the most efficient use of our student data for each stakeholder. I enjoy assisting our users to learn Skyward better in order to help them with their job duties.

I have used Skyward for 5 years, 3 as the Skyward Administrator and I have 3 additional years with a different SIS system.
In my role, I support and train Skyward Student and Finance users with scheduling, grading, attendance, fee management, food service and SBAA. In addition to supporting staff, I submit required state and federal reports. I continuously seek new ways to assist users so their daily workload can be managed in timely, organized and easier methods. If I can find a way to make it quicker and easier for our users, I will.

I am the Skyward Student Administrator for Halstead-Bentley USD #440. I input all new student data, correct student information, add curriculum and courses. I run daily utilities, such as fee management and attendance prefills for Positive Attendance, along with monthly utilities, such as fee statements. I am responsible for all uploads to the state – ASGT, ENRL, EXIT, TASC, TEST, and EOYA. If it’s in Skyward, I do it, or quickly learn how.

Previously the Student Data/Skyward Guru for USD260 Derby Schools, my current position is the Director of Data and Enrollment at USD266 Maize School District. I troubleshoot for everything Skyward in my district and manage a team of Data Managers who coordinate and update state reports for the 15 buildings in our District.

Bonner Springs - Edwardsville
I am the Director of Accounting and Board Treasurer for USD 204 Bonner Springs-Edwardsville. I am fortunate to be in the position to use both Skyward SMS and Qmlativ systems. Our team adopted Skyward Q for Business to manage our district’s Accounting, AP/Purchasing, and HR/Payroll functions in late 2021. I led that transition effort and we went live with Q in July 2022. I have used Skyward Student Management since joining the district in 2013.

I have worked for USD 265 Goddard Public Schools for 7 years. My current position is the Skyward Lead SIS Specialist, and overall I have worked in Skyward Student SMS 2.0 and/or Finance for the last 12 years. My role with Goddard is to help the district to maintain clean data with a team of district office staff and building level registrars, coordinating the training of our staff on everything from state reporting, enrollment, fee management, teacher access and all things Skyward related. I enjoy helping our staff come up with solutions in Skyward to do their jobs more efficiently and make it a more user friendly experience.

I am an Assistant Superintendent USD 489 Hays and my focus is finance, payroll and HR. We migrated to Skyward Qmlativ Business July 1 2021. During this process we have used Skyward to help develop processes and increase efficiency throughout the district.

I have 17+ years of experience in School Finance and have served as the Accounts Payable Clerk for USD230 Spring Hill since October of 2013. My strength is in Skyward Finance PAC and Skyward Finance Web systems, and I also work with Skyward Student Web regarding Fees and SBAA. I look forward to working as part of the Skyward Steering Committee!

I have been the Board Clerk/Payroll Clerk for USD 491 Eudora since April 2018. Our district adopted Skyward Q as our HRIS and finance management system in June 2021 and went live in January 2022. I served as a member of the district's implementation team. Within Skyward, I am responsible for adding positions, payroll, time tracking, and training employees in Skyward's employee access. I also have helped implement onboarding and off-boarding processes through the process management module. I enjoy helping staff utilize Skyward.
When vacancies exist, nominations will be considered from those completing an application of interest. The applications will then be reviewed for consideration by the committee members.
